Emmanuel Sanders signs with Broncos, reports indicate

Emmanuel Sanders decided to cast his lot with the Denver Broncos, according to reports on Sunday. That was a blow to the Kansas City Chiefs, who appeared to have an accord with the wide receiver a few hours earlier.

Sanders could set off a fight between the rival AFC West teams.
Andrew Mason, reporting for the Broncos website, posted on Twitter that the signing was official. He then posted word of a team media conference to announce the signing.

Sanders, a 2010 third-round pick, had 161 catches for 2,030 yards and 11 touchdowns in four seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He started 10 Steelers games last season.

The Broncos lost Eric Decker to free agency and were seeking someone to compete with Andre Caldwell, a backup receiver they re-signed to a two-year deal.
